The Axarquia and Around
Location

The Axarquia area stretches east of Malaga in Southern Spain. This eastern part of the Costa del Sol is more traditional, less developed and less visited than the Costa del Sol proper. Known to have the best climate in Europe, sheltered by magnificent mountain ranges, the Mediterranean beaches stay open all year and orange trees line the streets.

There is a wealth of things to do and places to visit for everybody, young and old. The area boasts picturesque white washed villages, stunning scenery, fabulous national parks, beaches and coastal resorts, local markets and culturally interesting towns and monuments.

Within striking distance are the fantastic, historical cities of Malaga and its famous Picasso Museum, Granada and its awe-inspiring Moorish Alhambra Palace, Ronda with its incredible gorge and historic streets, and Cordoba with its mesmerising Mezquita mosque.
