About Us

Renovations (click to enlarge)Adrian and Hannah Stone moved to Spain from Wales in 2002 to open an accessible hotel to provide holidays for physically disabled people, their friends and family. Before that, most of their careers were spent in tourism, with 3 years providing and guiding tours for physically disabled people all over the world. This gave them the idea of setting up their own hotel, accessible accommodation options were so poor.

Time after time, either the hotel would be lovely, but the facilities for disabled people were (despite brochure claims) totally inadequate, or the facilities were great, but it felt like a nursing home rather than holiday accommodation. People with disabilities deserved better and Las Piedras was born!

With lots of hard work and determination Las Piedras Accessible Hotel was created and opened it’s doors to it’s first guests in 2003.

Yet, Las Piedras still retains its homely, relaxed atmosphere, thanks to Adrian and Hannah, their young family and friendly team of staff.

In 2008 the El Pleamar Accessible Apartment was added offering a further option and Las Piedras Accessible Holidays can now take bookings for both their own accessible and other holiday accommodations in the beautiful Axarquía region of Southern Spain on the Eastern side of the Costa del Sol.

Las Piedras were also featured on BBC1's Living in the Sun programme, a portion of which can be viewed below.
